i have a severe eating disorder and i'm always either hungry or thirsty. i emotionally eat, and i'm overweight. i try dieting, but it never works. i try to drink a lot of water to fill myself up so i won't be so hungry, but it never works. should i see a doctor? maybe i have a tapeworm? i am also bulimic and i eat a whole lot and then throw it up right after. this doesn't work because after i throw up, i'm hungry again, and so i eat again! this is sick and i really think i need some help. i need to lose weight and this is not the way to do it. i'm only gaining, and more miserable. what should i do? PLEASE HELP!

You poor thing. The eating and purging are a viscious cycle and seriously becomes a full time job. You need to see your doctor and get a referral to an eating disorder specialist. They actually have medication out there that helps you break this cycle. You are going to ruin your teeth. You can also die from constant vomitting-by tearing your esophogas (spell?)

You probably do not have a tapeworm as tapeworms make you hungry by robbing your body of nutrition. Since you state you are overweight, this is likely not the case. Your eating and purging seems bad, and you should really seek professional help. The first step is coming here and admitting you have a problem, the next step is to do something!

I feel bad for you. I would go to the doctor right away. eating and forcing yourself to throw up is not a good thing. you can get real sick from it and maybe die. so as soon as you can go to the doctor. and dont be embarassed about it. im pretty sure there are alot of others that are doing it. I am proud that you are admitting it to yourself. help is on its way once you go to the doctors. dont give up.

See: family physician, endocrinologist, psychiatrist, counselor and anyone those people refer you to. It will save your heart and much more. I cannot give anecdotal stuff here for this one. Just go to a doctor and tell the truth.
