Try this:
By law they MUST supply you with a free annual credit report.
Send each of the three agencies (get the address at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/order?mail )
Send it by certified mail, return receipt.
Include a copy of your driver's license, social security card, and a copy of a utility bill with your name and address on it. This will establish enough proof that you are the person listed on the report.
Include a letter explaining your difficulty in getting the report. Remind them that the Fair and Accurate Credit Reporting Act requires that they supply you a free copy upon request, and their failure could result in legal action. Include your contact info including telephone number.
If this still does not result in a copy of your report, pretend you just won the lottery. You will easily win a small claims suit for $1000 for their violation.
I would use this method instead of calling. You would first have to go through a phone maze at each of the credit reporting agencies, which is silly.

Under the FCRA regulations, if a disputed entry is removed, they (the CRA) has to send you an updated credit report explaining that the disputed items were removed. IF you did not get a new report after you disputed the items, then I would question the source where you recently received your credit reports. Did you get them directly from the CRA's? or are you using one of those credit monitoring services? Many of those types are not up to date and are not true credit reports. I do not mean to dampen your hopes, just want to make sure you understand how these things work.

Call all three credit bureaus and request your free reports, they are required by LAW to give you one when asked for it.
Equifax: 1-866-798-6598
Experian: 1-800-734-4617
TransUnion: 1-800-888-4213
Hope that helps!

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.
Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.

Studley has good advice. I have requested free credit reports twice now through the annual credit blah blah blah web site. Both times I had difficulties with Trans Union. Last month, I tried through the web site, then called Trans Union directly and talked to that idiot (I mean Representative) for 15 minutes and then demanded to talk to a supervisor. My answers to their questions: i.e. who did you have student loans through? First of all it was through my bank but I knew my bank sold my loan to Sallie Mae. So when I answered the question but my credit report stated "SM Marketing" (Duh, SM = Sallie Mae) the Representative was not smart enough to figure it out, but the supervisor was. When you finally get your credit reports keep them until next year, so you can use them to answer their questions through this vetting process (i.e. you will know how to answer their questions incorrectly, so you can prove it is you, lol.)
Good luck and I feel your pain!

I couldn t get Equifax to give mine via the "official" website (no problem with the other two) so I called the 800 number. Had to wait a couple minutes to talk to a live person. They quickly took my info and said they would mail one out in 7-10 days and gave me a confirmation number incase that didn t happen (They also tried to sell me their service but I m good at saying no. :) )

Go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com
You can get a free credit report for all three companies. As each report comes up you can disputed them. It also gives you a code number to access each company directly and dispute using that number online, by phone and my mail.
