If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

There are several things you can do to treat and prevent your acne. Never work out with makeup on. Always gently wash the acne-prone area after a workout.
Hot compress:
If you have time, submerge a clean towel in hot steamy water and gently apply the hot compress to the affected area. Keep towel hot and apply for 15 minutes. Works like a charm.
Benzoyl Peroxide:
Use a cream with 5-10% benzoyl peroxide in it at night before bed. It can bleach your skin so its best not to use in the morning before you go out for the day.
Dermatologist:
If you have severe or cystic acne you should use acutane. Antibiotics could work for your acne. You could see a dermatologist for treatment.

In addition to using Proactiv, I changed my pillow case more often than normal and drink a lot of water.
I learned that the pimples/acne you see now, is a product of something 2 weeks ago. The pimple itself is like its symptom that your immune system is working. Since you said you were working out, try not to wear as much makeup/ or any at all. Bring a towel to wipe off sweat. Dont wear a lot of hair products and pull back your hair into a pony. All of these things can be preventatives to outbreaks.
If something major happens, consider finding a spot treatment in addition to proactiv.

proactiv is a good product to use,you may want to wash your every time after you workout, don't scrub your face to hard it can make acne worse, the key is to alway treat your acne, not treating can make it worse, but use something that your not allergic to,if you are allergic, but some people are allergic to stuff, and some are not.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
