Alright, I've been eating (all home cooked) fried chicken, fried fish, fried meat, and other-cultural delicacies like (home cooked) filipino and (sometimes) mexican food. The thing is, while I am greatful to have food, I'm terribly tired of eating the same things over and over. I want something different! Maybe some lasagna for dinner or some spaghetti? Sorry, those aren't really the best examples, but I think you get the idea. I want something new, not the same old things. That's one of the main reasons why I love ordering (unhealthy) fast foods like pizza or burgers and fries, because they're not my usual choice of foods, but they're very unhealthy for me, so I'm looking for alternatives that are healthy.

Are there any types of food I can cook that will be healthy for me but cheap to buy at the same time? I'm very open minded so any sorts of foods from any cultures would do - just as long as they're not roasted frogs, bugs, or wild game.

Thanks in advance.

you could try all different types of vegies!
or make your own healthy pizzas. i love to make pizza.
also grilling food is much healthier than fried.

try foodtv.com for recipes.
or if you have food in your fridge, you can just put them into google and it'll come up with a recipe, most likely.

i love soup too! there are all sorts of chicken soups, with spinach and other fun vegetables.

Why don't you try stir fry vegetables, curried veges with couscous, Also a really easy thing to make is apricot chicken with rice. 1 can of apricot nectar, skinless pieces of chicken - about 500g, 1 packet of mushroom soup, 1 packet of creamy chicken soup, mix all the liquid together with the soup mixes and then add your chicken - bake in a crockpot dish for roughly 1 hour until all chicken cooked through - serve on steamed rice.

Good for you! Fast food is loaded with salt and fat. Find some spices that you like and season your meat (fish, pork and beef roasts, steaks) and lose the salt. We like onion and garlic powder, pepper, white pepper and a spicy blend like Ms. Dash®, and we don't even miss that salt. We also use olive oil alot instead of butter or shortening. We make roasts alot for dinner, then slice the rest up for yummy healthy sandwiches for lunch. Try shrimp and broccoli in linguini with garlic, olive oil and spices. That's healthy and good. Good luck!

Some islanders eat bugs and worms. I don't really know the nutrition value of your average worm, but it is free.
Down South they have a custom of eating the parts of a cows and pigs that I usually throw out. Liver, Kidney, heart, tongue, stomach lining, intestines, blood-sausage. Heck, I think they even eat brains and eyeballs.
Don't say you are: "eating the same things over and over", simply say your in a rut. There are many opportunities to vary you intake. But like me, you probably don't want to be that adventurous.

not sure what your skill level is, but you can try stir fry, fried rice or any number of thai dishes. I love thai.

marinade some chicken breasts in teriyaki sauce and grill them.

Grill chicken wings and then coat with your favorite sauce.

you mentioned lasagne and that's actually pretty easy.

In the event it's a fruit they have seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
