An affair can not be positive experience. Discovering the betrayal and anticipating the potential loss of the person most important in your life causes great distress. Unlike the trauma of death, which has an end and can be compensated for by positive elements in the relationship, infidelity undermines all that is good in the relationship and the pain seems to have no natural end point. Although not welcomed, death is to be expected at some point in a marriage. Betrayal is not. The victim of betrayal questions if the spouse ever loved them, and if so, what they might have done to lose it. It is as if the adulterous spouse has thrown dirt in the river of their marriage contaminating the water behind them and before them.
One can recover from infidelity if both spouse work together identifying the problem which cause one of them to betray the other. But same could be achieved without pain to innocent spouse.

It may be a positive thing with the one's that are having the affair. But it will be a negative thing for those that are close to them or just know them!

Is this a secret affair? Then NO!!! Some couples choose to take "time off" and have their own trysts knowing full well that the other is doing the same. I know one couple who is silently ok with eachother having affairs. the only rule is that the affair cannot be with anyone they know. So perhaps for you it could work.

an affair could either make u realise why u cheated/ were cheated on and help u fix the problem so it doesnt happen again or it could destroy whatever relationship one was in. it could boost the self confidence of the person having the affair but destroy the confidence and self respect of the one being cheated on. Generally they r not a good thing and communication is always better than dishonesty and cheating.

So it has been 2 years of holidays alone? Are you sure he is not married? Otherwise why can't you go with him out of the country too? If your fiance's then why not. Spend the holidays in another country. Why the separation for so long? Doesn't make sense if your going to get married. Sounds like your not quite sure if you really want this to happen or not. If he is going to continue going abroad, and not take you with him, then something is up besides work. Have you sat down and talked to him about this and how deeply your feelings are hurt that he is gone for so long? How are you going to feel if you get married, have a baby and he still spends time out of the country, then your really going to have your hands full and still be all alone without him to help you. So you really need to talk to him about this.

What comes around goes around.....
lets say in the end you get with that person....after the affair...how can you really trust anything about them.....it all started with a lie.

First of all why do u want to do an affair, If u aren't happy wiz the one u r u need to separate N not deceive each other lol!!
You may do an affair if ur husband is also doing so on his part!!
Or if u are fond of many boyz at a time, u shouldn't have got in a permanant relationship..
I THINK U SHOULD DISCUSS IT OUT WIZ UR PARTNER

never once someone cheats on you they have lost trust. you will always think about it if you remain with them. get out how could someone who has hurt your mind your heart and soul turn having an affair into something positive. its only positive if that person learns from their mistake and doesn't cheat on their next partner

negative things about it, a positive
thing that may arise would be seeing
why you had the affair in the first place;
what was ur relationship lacking that made
you have the affair? is it worth staying in
the relationship?
