I personally know that alot of girls LOVE the smell of Aqua Di Gio the cologne. Quite refreshing. Some types of deoderant work too, since they are stronger smelling and act as body spray at the same time. I actually am not a big fan of axe, but rather of Old Spice. Also, just smelling fresh and clean is usually pretty good too. Anyways, good luck with the smell hunting!

We like cologne on a guy and we like guys to be very clean and well maintained: clean hair, deodorant, clean clothing
Cologne is a personal thing and you can get some sample to try before you spend money on one. Usually, colognes are different according to each person's skin chemistry.
I am not sure how much you want to spend but usually the better the cologne the better you smell; it is probably not good to use those drug store colognes like Stetson.
I got my husband Xerus Red off of Ebay and he loves it. He has a sort of light olive skin and blonde hairs( not very many)
You can get sample and colognes for much cheaper prices on Ebay just be sure to look at the sellers feedback and if it is less than 99% - do not buy from them
I also like Fahrenheit (Dior I think) and Creed colognes (they are very expensive but so worth the money - My husband uses Tabarome and it is heaven and it lasts forever).
Go to a department store and ask the sale people for some samples - do not buy until you have it on your skin for some hours. You can also ask them to spray you but do not spray more than one scent on and arm

I just like a guy to smell clean. Cologne is fine as long as you don't drown yourself in it. It should be subtle, so that if the girl likes it, she'll have to lean in closer to really smell it, get the idea?

People's individual scents react differently with different perfumes/colognes, so it is hard to say. Something that smells really good on one guy might smell bad on another guy because they have different body odour. That being said, my favourite cologne is BLV Pour Homme by Bvlgari. Whenever my boyfriend wears it I can't resist him : )

my boyfriend bought me DKNY perfume as a gift once, and for christmas he gave me Sarah Jessica Parker perfume, which i think smells really nice. It all depends on personal taste, but i think SJP is the nicest, lacoste pink smells pretty good too.

NICE CLEAN SMELLING COLOGNE...NOTHING TOO HEAVY AND OVERPOWERING, THAT'S A COMPLETE TURN OFF! I SOMETIMES EVEN LIKE A GUY THAT HAS A SLIGHT SCENT OF BEER ON THEIR BREATH, NOT A DRUNKEN BEER BREATH, THOUGH. I JUST THINK IT'S REALLY SEXY AND MANLY!

that all depends on your body chemistry and the girl you are with. why don't you let her pick it for you or have couple of girls smell it on you and tell you. same colone can smell different on different people because of their body chemistry.
