do projects immediately, its more gratifying to go ahead and have them done than to procrastinate. act like the project is due on a date well before it is actually due, and if you have to stay up late that night and finish, do so, but if the chance that you don;t finish occurs, you will not be out of luck. I know it is hard to do, but the stress level from procrastination will no longer be with you and you will get more rest and relaxation as opposed to freaking out the night before, and not doing well.

I am a big procrastinator as well... for example i have two big projects due tomorrow and i have only finished one. I have recently started using an agenda book to write down assignments and believe it or not it has helped me, im getting alot better (except for today)!

Try to break the work into manageable 'bite-sized' bits and put your own deadlines for each bit on paper. Review your progress from time to time. Ticking off each job done on the paper gives you satisfaction and motivates you to do the next step.
You should leave leeway between your personal deadline (maybe a week) before the real deadline. If you think you will still procrastinate, give your plan to friend(s) and ask them to chase you for it.

I procrastinate way too much as well... but I always manage to finish it the night before it's due, even if it means staying up all night...

Shut off msn and stop spending time on yahoo answers would be your first order of business. Try scheduling yourself certain times to work on your homework, say 5-8 everyday. During these hours shut off the phone, msn, the TV, any distractions and focus soley on homework.

What I do is get the work done right away as fast as I possibly can (usually in class). If I do it in class, then I won't have to do it at home.. and if I do it as fast as I possibly can, then I'll get it done in one session and won't give myself time to procrastinate!

Geez, I'm in the same boat. If I try and do it by myself, I'll always wait to the last minute. With school work, I try to do it with a friend, cause the last thing I want to do is to let down a friend.

Hold a sec ...ill tell you later lol. =P Just get it done early and then you can goof off the rest of the time. If you get an assignment, just go home and sit there until its done the first nite....then you are home free.

plan ahead...make sure you have the outline a few nights before, and bring your nmotebook with you when you go places, like the doctor or dentist, so you can jot donw ideas while you wait. seriously though, the main thing is you have to get seious and do your work on time! in advance..
