and purchase a new one. Prices are at an all-time low. View a
bunch of choices on some top price/product comparison sites.

go for a new one for sure, get one with upconversion. it will enhance the dvd picture greatly. and they only cost slightly more. even if you don't have a hi def tv now, i'm sure you will soon. and the picture is very near hd dvd quality.

it would be to your financial advantage if you were to just replace the player. They are so cheap these days and repairing the unit is way to costly...that goes for T.V. sets and all other electronic gadgets as well...... ;)
