Considering that a German Mauser is a rifle, then absolutely, yes. They are EXTREMELY dangerous around small children.

I am assuming you messed up and meant a dog- any dog not well trained is a danger to small children. If a chicuaua (taco bell dog, can't spell it) bites in the right place, they could kill a kid as well.
