As a daycare provider myself, the thought is really what counts. Around Christmas, it is important that everyone in your life knows that what they do for you is appreciated, even if it is their job. Some of the best gifts that I have received have been gifts from the children themselves, something that they helped make. Just being remembered by "my kids" (that is how I feel that they are all "my kids") is what really puts a smile on my face and warms my heart.

As a former daycare teacher, 2 of the most valuable gifts I got were, gift card to the grocery store, and gift card to the light company, you see on average a daycare worker in texas makes between $6, $7, ph. which barely puts food on the table or keeps the lights on, as a single parent these are priceless gifts.

I am a daycare provider so I thought I might share some of the gifts I have received in the past. Movie tickets, Bath products, gift certificate for a local restaurant, a night with my husband at a nice spa with dinner and one year I was given $100 bucks in a card. Even though I never except anything from my kids parents it does make me feel like I am appreciated.

Gift Certificate to Wal Mart or Target or some popular super store.
Daycare providers don't make a lot of money and they dedicate a lot of tiem to the children so make sure it is useful and shows your appreciation.
Merry Christmas!

I have had 3 kids in same daycare for years. One Christmas, I got a plain colored ornament (you choose what kind) I hand painted the kids name on one side and the other side put the year and gave it to her for her tree at home. SHE LOVED IT!!!!!!! Said it was the sweetest and most heartfelt gift she got. She still puts it on her tree and my kids are 7. Good luck@

A gift card for a dinner out somewhere or a gift basket with things like coffee and snacks. Everybody needs to eat.
