In addition to brushing and flossing regularly, how can I keep my breath fresh? I chew gum now... but is there a natural food that helps with this.
Please don't suggest mouthwash or breath freshener drops or tabs.

Since it sounds like you already brush and floss regularly It could only be two culprits:
1. Your tongue
2. What ever is or isn't in your stomach

If you are not allergic to avocados, you may want to try eating 1/2 to a whole one each day. You'll notice right away that your breath stays fresher longer and the more you eat them, the less problem you'll have with your breath. I happened upon this little benefit of the avocado while eating them to control my blood pressure, so I did a little research. I've included a link you can go to, but just do a google search and you can find all the info you need. Good luck.

If you're flossing and brushing, you shouldn't have bad breath. If you find you still have bad breath in spite of this - then you should a.) go to the dentist so they can scrape the tartar off your gums. and if that doesn't work - then b.) see your doctor to see if you don't have a bacteria living in your stomach (called H. Pylori).

Apart from that, anything you do to freshen your breath in the short term probably will funk it up in the long run.

Make sure that you always brush your teeth after breakfast, not before and make sure brush your tongue. The reason your breath smells is usually because your mouth is dry or your stomach is empty. Drink a lot of liquid (not milks or coffee) to keep yourself hydrated and mouth wet. Try not to let yourself get too hungry otherwise you will get "hunger breath" and when you are really hungry stay away from dairy food because they tend to make your mouth smell bad.

Try chewing on a mint leaf or even parsley. Then just make sure you floss so you don't have the little green bits in between your teeth.

Drink lots of water. Flossing daily is better though, especially with a toungue depresser.

mabey you forgot to brush your toungue.....it is a common mistake ppl make all the time
and it is extremly effective in reducing breath odor.
as a matter of fact, everyones tongue contributes a majority of the odor given off....so give it a good scrub everyday from now on

drink A LOT of water... all the time...COLD water...as COLD as possible. Usually your breath stinks due to bacteria that build up when you dont drink water. Stay AWAY from onions, spices etc. and THINK clearly, PURIFY

Chewing tea leaves. Believe me, it works. They've been doing it in the Far East for centuries.
