The only thing I know of from the Bible that comes close to directly answering this is 2 Samuel 12:23
23 "But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me."
King David, being a prophet of God, prophecied that he would go to his son when he (King David) died. King David was a believer, though he sinned greviously, and we know that Jesus refered to David being in Heaven, therefore we may deduce that the baby went to Heaven too.
But that is deduction, and not direct statements from Gods word. The Bible does not directly address all the things we have questions about, so we must "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth," 2 Timothy 2:15.

rather! genuinely! Your consciencness must be wakened and look at were given to be completely conscious that you're denying salvation and following your individual route earlier you're at risk of hell. So i have self belief even a lot older people can nonetheless be in a state of innocence! that's once you're made spiritually conscious that you're to blame!!! certain we deem ourselves to hell at the same time as after being made conscious we turn from the technique of life and shop on with the route to lack of existence! So I agree! God has performed each and every thing with a view to shop us from this destiny! it isn't His Will that ANY perish yet that each and every individual come to eternal existence!!!! And coming to non secular understanding isn't religious rhetoric that dooms people to hell via guilt, concern and manipulation, yet a real religious understanding of the present of existence made conscious to you with the help of the Holy Spirit! not guy! pal: the position'd u get 20 n OT, not putting forward not there under no circumstances heard earlier, provide me scripture ref. thanks!

It says in1 Corinthians 7:14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified thrugh his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
So I think that it depends on the parents if the child goes to heaven or hell. its sad to think about it but if the parents are in the world the child would go to hell.

matthew 18:10, Jesus loves children. i also suggest reading the book Heaven by randy alcorn.
babies, young children need to be able to be accountable to their sin. if a baby is aborted, the baby did not sin. one needs to hear the word of God and know that they have a need for atonement. those who do not have the mental capacity i don't think God dooms to hell.

Babies go to Heaven--not even close to the age of accountability.

There should be no debate on this, they go to heaven they have not sinned!!! People who don't hear beleve and get saved and Baptized and repent when they do sin are the ones who go to hell.

I hope you don't mind a Buddhist contributing to your Q.People die because their life energy in this life have exhausted;nothing to do with merit or sin.Where they go depends on their merit/sin in this and their previous lives.

Anyone who would believe babies would be sent to a hell is really sadistic.

Are babies greater than Jesus, who went to hell when he died, unable to do anything, until his resurrection? Everyone goes to hell until their resurrections. As for whether they are resurrected, since they are not of the age of understanding, where they can make their own choices are regards God and Christ, it depends on the life their parents led, just as was the case before the flood and in Sodom/Gomorrah. Since they haven't been born again, they can't enter heaven, regardless of the life their parents led. Resurrection would be to everlasting life on earth.
