no it does not have to be frozen.the best way to make jerky is to get a device called a jerky shooter i have one and the thing is awesome it mixes the spices right in all you gotta do is dehydrate then enjoy

Many, many, many plates of venison. Oh the plates of venison. :) Roll it in flour, salt and pepper...positioned a sprint oil in the pan, and fry it on the two aspects for 5 - 10 minutes. Mmmm mmmm stable. can not sit down nevertheless and consume it. cook dinner up some fried taters and cornbread to bypass with it. As an further tip: positioned some rib rub in with the steaks.

no, it does not need to be frozen, but by freezing just a little, intil it becomes on the firm side, it makes it easier to cut into thin slices without clogging up rour slicer if your using one.
other wise, just cut it as thin as possible, and make sure you dry it out at the proper tempature, I usually set my oven to 150, and if your oven doesn't have that temp range on it the just stick it in the broiler with just the pilot light

I have never heard of it needing to be frozen. When just put it in oven on low temp and let it dry out.

no it dont..but....its how you like your venison...meaning i like mine fresh...it seems to me freezing takes some of the wild tasted out of it,,this i know cause im a country boy...but to some people probly wouldnt notice the taste change.....but now you dont have to freeze it......you also have to know how long your venison hung...did it hang long enough.......all this is up to the persons taste.......i can get into all that but, lol.....but anyway no you dont have to freeze it........it does change the taste

no. we just made some last week from fresh. we used the dehydrator...took about 8 hrs and is yummy!
