This recipe makes many cookies, but they are fantastic! It is from a story about Neiman-Marcus, but forgetting the story, they are the best chocolate-chip cookies I've ever had!

2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal
24 ounces chocolate chips
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 (8 ounce) Hershey Bars (grated)
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice - i use pecans, some use walnuts)

Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
Cream the butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda.
Add chocolate chips, grated Hershey Bar and nuts.
Roll into balls and place 2-inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes at 375° or until golden.

This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie:

2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon soda (bi-carb)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups rolled oats (oat meal)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 - 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts if desired. (I prefer walnuts)

This recipe is almost fool proof. Basically I cream the butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla, then mix everything else in. Drop by the teaspoon onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degree's for about 15 minutes. (180 Celsius if i recall rightly)
