Sure, it's okay. As long you're comfortable with it and he is too, nothing else matters. :)

Someone who is 5'6" is considered "way shorter than you"? I'm 5'11 and I've dated guys a lot shorter than me. Although it may be a bit awkward at first (especially if your in heels), it shouldn't matter what height he is. Love him for who he is. If you always worry about what other people think, you'll have a lot of dating problems.

PS - Imagine if someone didn't date you only because you're too tall. Don't be so nit-picky.

Of course it is okay to date a shorter guy. Women do it all the time. Unless you are shallow, superficial, and cheap there should be no problem what so ever. He sounds great. And I bet you are too. I say go for it.

Society is going to label that as strange because it does not fall into their accepted (and very limited) range of ideal people and couples. If you really like the guy and he is nice to you, and especially if you feel that you have a connection with him you should stick with him. But, if you feel that you are going to reserve yourself or end up dumping him later because you can't deal with what other people think (not that this is nessecarly a bad thing... it is a very legitimate reason :)) save him the heartbreak now and go ahead and end it. :) Good luck!

O.ok. I had to snort (and be rather indignant mutually) at this. correct doesnt matter, rather pondering that you adult men are nonetheless in junior intense. he nonetheless has some boom spurts left, and could maximum probable be taller than you very quickly! i'm a lady, and that i'm 5'2.....with my shoes ON. my boyfriend is 6'4 and we make jokes and do stunning issues because of our correct distinction and he suggested he likes that im rather short because it makes common such issues as protecting palms extra humorous, and rather problematic, yet mosty humorous.

no not really. it may seem weird because in most couples the guy is taller but some relationships just dont happen that way. just look at keith urban and nicole kidman. they have a larger height distance. don't worry it's not about the height it's about what's inside that counts.

of course it's okay

however... I dated a guy shorter than me for 2
years.. and honestly? it bothered me the ENTIRE
two years. I kept trying to look past it.. but.... it honestly
kept bothering me. It's not the ultimate reason we ended
up breaking up- but it had to have been just one more
thing that bothered us both.

just speaking from experience....
