Bladder cancer like any other cancer is a serious one only. It can not be cured with the shoot of TB. it will only complicate the problems. do not think of such ideas.

Now Bladder Cancer - Much depends of the condition of the patient, Stage and Grade of the disease. The treatment of bladder cancer depends on how deep the tumor invades into the bladder wall. Superficial tumors (those not entering the muscle layer) can be "shaved off" using an electrocautery device attached to a cystoscope. Immunotherapy in the form of BCG instillation is also used to treat and prevent the recurrence of superficial tumors. BCG immunotherapy is effective in up to 2/3 of the cases at this stage. Instillations of chemotherapy into the bladder can also be used to treat superficial disease.

Untreated, superficial tumors may gradually begin to infiltrate the muscular wall of the bladder. Tumors that infiltrate the bladder require more radical surgery where part or all of the bladder is removed (a cystectomy) and the urinary stream is diverted. In some cases, skilled surgeons can create a substitute bladder (a neobladder) from a segment of intestinal tissue, but this largely depends upon patient preference, age of patient ,renal function, and the site of the disease.

A combination of radiation and chemotherapy can also be used to treat invasive disease, and, in many cases, it is not yet known which is the better treatment - radiotherapy or radical ablative surgery. If the disease is confirmed with all other details Consultation with an eminent Oncologist should be done immediately and as per his advise all the three treatment viz. Surgery, Chemo and Radiation Therapies should be done step by step with out taking any chance - as CANCER IS STILL AN ENIGMA. Please have consultation with preferably Surgical Oncologist immediately. Best of luck.-

Its actually a weak strain of TB called BCG, it makes your body s immune system attack the cancer. I have bladder cancer and am going through it right now 6 weeks of BCG after you get TURBT, thats when they remove the tumors in your bladder. As long as you follow the Doctors directions the BCG dosent get into your blood system thereby making you sick. After each treatment my urine stings a little but drinking water washes out the BCG. and after some rest your ready for the next round. Its scary I know but this is the best out there besides having your bladder removed, of course if it comes to that Ill do it! I have a family that needs me!

As with any cancer, bladder cancer, if left untreated, is deadly.

I am not well versed in bladder cancer treatments. However, tuberculosis is the disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculi, which is a bacteria and is treated with antibiotics.

yes, any cancer left untreated is invariably fatal in the end! so any cancer if detected should be treated ASAP! yes, one of the modalities of treatment for bladder cancer is instillation of BCG (bacillus Calmette Guerin) in the urinary bladder. this is a live attenuated bacteria, used in immunization against TB. so you might become montoux positive but surely you will not end up with TB.
