1- I don't believe in God, so no. 2- I was raised Catholic, and went to a private school, where we were taught that he GIVES you a conscience so you can have TOTALLY free will, but you'll feel guilty as hell about doing things that he's labeled out as wrong. So no, he doesn't. What you're probably thinking of is BAPTISM, which is supposed to erase ORIGINAL SIN. No such luck in the conscience area.

In perspective, and from an unreligious standpoint, you wouldn't have a conscience if someone (being a tangible and validated person) hadn't told you such and such was wrong. Just like being naked; you wouldn't wear clothes if 1- no one else did, and 2- you hadn't been made to.

XDD

i went to catholic and private schools my whole life and still don't believe in God. i feel it is a crutch for the weak and an adult version of Santa Clause. i have a conscience and when i do feel tempted to cheat or steal my conscience kicks in and tells me that's wrong. it's more about being a good person than being influenced by some sort of higher power.

possibly Techwing ought to rephrase his actuality. it form of feels at present that a guy's moral experience is extra of a fantasy. At one time, we were advised that G-d's regulations were written in our hearts. a real follower listens to those, and follows them, without the want to be advised what to do. at present, in American fantastically, maximum are blind lambs desirous to be carry about the slaughter, now to not do what's sweet. To me, this heart-written textual content is our moral experience. when we open ourselves to this, it really is intensified. it really is affirmed. It very almost sounds like there is something outdoors human beings guiding us, praising us for doing what we experience is sweet, and many call this this Holy Spirit. considering that maximum deny guy has a spirit, it really is purely organic that maximum deny a Holy Spirit, considering that they could't contact, see, and performance carnal kinfolk with it. What you describe interior the perfect six months is likewise straightforward. it really is lots like practise. once you first study something new, you should paintings flat out to do it anytime. yet, as time is going on, it receives extra accessible, till you now no longer imagine about it. that is an similar element. In outcome, you now no longer imagine about the relaxing you may have in case you 'sin,' yet quite a lot what's morally properly. in case you do 'sin,' then you actually will experience shame and guilt, a approach fo self-punishment. For me, i can't deny G-d any more beneficial than a fish can provide up water, or a fowl grow to be a fish. maximum, notwithstanding, are compared to this. they're confident there is not any G-d, no 'properly' element to do, and guy is loose to do in spite of IT pleases. i imagine, in case you pay interest to what's interior you, you'll study extra about this 'supernatural stress' that surrounds us and can make life extra valuable. yet, as established, you'd be punished and laughed at on your beliefs. you should, notwithstanding, locate that it really is worth it.
