Try throwing out a rhetorical statement to her like "We'd make a great couple if you weren't so weird," and see her reaction. If she asks "what do you mean?" then she might be interested. If she just laughs it off, then steer clear.

been there done that. what i would do is when you are like just talking, like just hanging out, ask her if she thought it would be cool to go out. if she says sure then ask her out on a date or something. However, going out with your friend is really weird and usally you'll have nothing to talk about. ending in a break up. but nothing that will ruin a relationship as friends. that dosent mean that you should be scard and not try it. sometimes friends are perfect matches for eachother. so give it a try.

It probably will but it could lead to something even better. If you really feel the odds are in your favor go ahead. The asking won't ruin it. It's the possibility of the break-up down the road.

if you are already her friend, odds are she does not think of you in an overtly sexual way. If you ask her out, your friendship will be doomed :(
