can i swich to from one OS(windows) to other OS(LINUX) just like logging fron one user to other in windows, instead of restarting from windows and again logging with LINUX

That is not possible. If you have installed two operating systems, then you can work with only one OS at a time, coz the current working OS gets the full control of the machine's resources, files, etc.

If you have one OS installed and you have another OS in a CD then you could work with two OS at a time. For eg consider you are working with windows and you have a linux OS in a CD. You can boot linux from the CD and start working with linux while windows is running in the background. But the thing is you will not get the full properties of the OS if you are working thro CD. You can work like a trial version. To get the full properties, you have to install the OS and boot on that specific OS.

Yes - First you should know that the operating system has nothing to do with the user. Changing user and changing OS is entirely different. Even in Windows - 95, 98, XE etc are not allowed to change just by logging off the user, but with separate option and you have to wait for the OS to carry out the course itself.

no. you would have to shut off your computer and choose from a screen asking if you want windows or linux.

if both os are installed then its imposibble ot switch but you can run only commands thorugh command prompt if u are windows
then u can run linux commands, but if u want gui mode then its impossible to switch

we can do it frm Linux but not frm windows because Linux is created for but not windows.Their kernal r diff frm each other.
