When the Messiah comes, he will be a man-a mere man with the ability to draw the people together and turn to G-d. G-d is One. There is no G-d but G-d.

They say that in every generation there is a man who is capable of being the Messiah, but the time has not been right for him to show his face. We, the world, must make the world ready for him by finding mercy and peace with each other--a time, if you would, of a Messianic age to welcome him.

Has Chrisitanity changed alot in 40 years? I was raised in the Methodist and Baptist churches (converted to Judaism) and never did I hear about an anti Christ. It is an Evangelical Christian ''thing''?

I agree with that...From the way I see it, there is still sin in this world and no supposed messiah has brought it to an end within the century. They say that the messiah with come when the world is in either full peace, or completely full of sin to the point of where there is no return. As I see it, we are merely bordering both of those outlooks. I believe there has been no messiah and G-d is One!

The Hebrew Shema - Hear O Israel, The Lord our G-d, The Lord is One. Blessed in his name, Glorious of his kingdom, Is for ever and ever.

I believe what you are applying to is the Judaic philosophy.

Everything but the mere man bit. According to Christian teachings, we will accept a false Messiah with the ability to provide peace to the Middle East.

I'm not sure about this, but as a Christian I think I believe Jews get a free pass to Heaven. The covenant was between God and Abraham and that will never be broken. We Christians were grafted into the vine as adopted children because God allowed it.

If you guys really believe the Messiah is just a man who will come, please make yourself acquainted with our doctrine about the anti-christ. Just check it out.
Edit: No, it's not new. I, too, was raised in the Baptist faith, and I heard about anti-christ as much as I heard about Jesus Christ.

I know that is the Jewish belief- but there were certain writings in the Old Testament which were designed to trick the Jews. Why? Simply because Christ had to die for us, for he said: "For this purpose (to die) came I into the world..."
If they had known who he was they would not have killed him. Crazy, I know. So of course they must have misconceptions about who the messiah is.
I know the Messiah is NOT just a man. He is the Son of God, and he is Christ.

Isaiah 7:14 says that he will be called "Immanuel" which means "God with us." This means that the Messiah definitely is not a mere man, but a man still, since he is called "boy" 2 verses afterward.

The second part just doesn't make sense since the Messiah has already come--Jesus

Sorry, but I would have to disagree. What you suggest is not Bible based. When he comes for his people, every eye shall see. He comes for the harvest Separating the wheat from the weeds. (his people from the lost) The wheat will be stored in the barns (heaven) and the lost burned in the furnace (hell)

The above are the words of the Christ (not my opinion)

He will come on the last day

No, I cannot agree with this statement. Jesus told his disciples that he would return as they saw him depart. He waits for God the father to tell him that time.

Matthew 24:30
"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.

Matthew 26:64
"Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

Revelation 19:13-15 (New International Version)
13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter."[a] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.

So, from these verses you can see that He will return in the flesh, but with all his glory. No longer the lamb but the Lion.
