Natural disasters, often related to the condition the planet is being put into as a result of the interference of man. Yes, God predicted, through his Son and others, that there would be such disasters, but that only means he knew the result of man's interference. It was a logical conclusion of where humans were headed. Crude oil may be those areas where pressure is absorbed from the constant shifting of land masses. Remove it and the stress has to go somewhere else.

Everyone dies once (and then comes the judgement).
There are many ways innocent people die. It is less chance that people die from the results of their own actions or others, but stuff happens.
We all live with stuff happening in the physical world. Sometimes, the physical world is not good to us if we happen to be in the wrong place at the worng time. (Next to a tree that falls).
Sometimes, the poor choices we make cause the probability of us dying to increase, such as driving too fast, or engaging in sex outside of marriage. (Sometimes there is even risk in that!).
Sometimes the poor choices of others cause the probability of us dying to increase, such as when others drive under the influence, drive fast, or engate in sex outside of marriage.
To attribute all of the things that happen to people to bad karma or God's vengance is wrong.

SO how did Katrina affect you personally? This storm rearranged my life completely and I have learned some profound lessons from this experience. I would say I am a better person, but unless you live here in Katrina country, you have not been affected, you are just being overly-dramatic.
And no, to think the storms are for us personally as human beings is arrogant.

You may not like the answer!
Isaiah 45:7
7 The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these.
Why do the "good" fall with the "evil?" Really? Who among us can honestly claim to be good?
Jesus said: "And Jesus said to him, 'Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone,'" Mark 10:18.

Most don't agree with me, but I believe that is sin that causes storms and earthquakes.
The bible says that the rocks will cry out. I think that God is waiting for Christians to cry out for the lost world, like it says in 2 chronicles.
Why does it have to be God, who is the giver of life and more abundant life that would cause such destruction, and not satan, who is the bringer of death?
