For a 15 lber in the fridge it will take approximately 2-3 days! If you do it in water, make sure that it is COLD water! Warm or Hot water will cook the outside of the bird and leave the inside frozen! It will take approximately 18-24 hours in cold water to completely thaw a 22 lb turkey! Good luck!

Thaw either in the fridge or use the cold water thawing method mentioned above. Personally I would thaw the turkey in the fridge as this is the safer method.

Leave it in your refergirator, it will keep it cool enough so the meat doesn't spoil, but it will thaw a little bit. When you are almost ready to use the turkey (in about 30 mins or so) place it in a bucket of hot water. That will evenly thaw out the turkey.

Cold Water Thawing: Thaw breast side down in unopened wrapper in cold water to cover. Change water every 30 minutes to keep surface cold. Estimate minimum thawing time to be 30 minutes per pound for whole turkey.

Fill your kitchen sink with tap water and place the turkey in it overnight or until it's thawed. If you do this in the daytime, you can change the icy cold water to regular tap cold water.

The SAFEST way is to put it in the back of your refriderator(where it is coldest), it will take about 4 days.
