Me and my wife have been married for about a year, been together for about two years. We are both in our early thirties. she recently became a lawyer and now she thinks she is too good for me. She wants me to give up my favorite hobby and says I need to get a job. My hobby is collection Jar Jar Binks collectables and wearing a Jar Jar costume as I walk around town. While walking around, I like to bring joy to people. I go into stores and throw potato chips or other foods around, I dance in front of cars that are stopped at red lights, I knock on random houses doors and do Jar Jar quotes and dances. This takes quite a lot of time, several hours a day. How can I find the time to get a job? But my Jar Jar collectables are very expensive, and my wife gets all upset when I buy them with her money. Then she flipped out like a crazy person when I suggested we use the Jar Jar costume during our lovemaking. I can't live like this. Why can't she just let me live my life? Should I divorce her?

But of course you should divorce her. How could you possibly put up with a woman with drive & ambition in a honored profession? Its unthinkable! You must be nuts!

i'm a star wars fan, but i don't quite understand why you have to dress up and act like jar jar all of the time... well, your wife does have a point, because you don't get any profit doing your thing, even though it's your hobby. why don't you try stand-up comedy or something? jar jar's pretty good at making people laugh, anyways... you might get a kick (and some money) out of it...

Grow up, dude. Your are over 30 years old. It's time to stop being a kid and think about having children, yourself. Time to be responsible for your own share of the financial bills.
Your wife , obviously, worked very hard to get to be a lawyer.
I dropped out of law school because the pressure was too
much for me. So, I know, pretty much, how it must be for your wife.
If I were her, I'd probably be very upset and angry with you
because you aren't responsible enough to get a job and help out.
Also about the Jar Jar thing....if you were my husband and spent my hard earned money on crap like that...I'd divorce you.

don't be surprised if your wife does the filing first.

Divorce is a good idea. I'm surprised she didn't know about your hobby before the wedding. Set her free.
