Where I live the immigrants held a rally for their rights and planted a Mexican flag below our P.O.W./M.I.A.,American and California State Flags, while demonstrating in OUR Veterans Memorial Park. How can they expect us to not react with disdain? If you want citizenship, shouldn't you respect the country you are seeking it from?

This is the problem. When you steal something you do not respect it. If you are always given something without having to earn it or work for it through the proper channels then you do not appreciate it. You have no idea the value or worth of what you have. This is why legal immigration is so important. My Mother earned her Citizenship in this Country. She had to go to school and learn about our Government and take a test and after she passed the test it still took eleven years for the Government to send her her papers in the mail. She was very proud to be an American.

It is wrong, if they don't follow the immigration laws how can we expect to have them follow any other laws? Illegal is illegal period and should not be rewarded especially when there are people in countries all over the world waiting years on lists to get into our country the legal way. Giving citizenship will only encourage more illegal immigrants. The best thing you can do is contact your congressman and senator and voice your opinion. The trouble is too many people sit back and complain about it but don't do anything productive to make their voice heard. While the illegals take to the streets in protests.

Chief Jay is totally right. Know why? You are lucky to live in this rich and blessed country, and this is the reason why everybody want to come live here. Please excuse them 'cause some of them don't even know his own country history, because they didn't have the chance to go to school, they had to work since they were a child, they were not lucky like you, but they also have a soul, feelings, a hearth and a family to support. Please don't get mad and don't think they do it on purpose. You have no idea how hard it is lo live in a country even LEGAL where the people see you like a criminal while you have to clean their toilets, cultivate the vegetables that you find in your salad every day, do your landscaping, collect the garbage in your street.

They should have been tear gassed and maced. They could have chosen from countless places to rally and they choose that place?!?! It's a slap in our face and they know it! They're laughing at us because they know the government has our hands tied! We need to take decisive action now whether the government is behind us or not.

They do not want citizenship nor a better way of life. We saw that during those marchs, we all saw very clearly what flag they waved.

Hear, hear!

I hear you, man.

(To all undocumented aliens and Hispanic Americans):

Escuchen Ustedes! Aprendan inglés, y aprendan las leyes y costumbres del pais donde viven y trabajan. Por el amor de Dios, vamos a comunicar honestamente y con respeto. Para recibir respeto hay que dar respeto.
