Yes, but the type of weight you gain is up to you. It's very easy to gain body fat along with muscle, especially if you follow some ridiculous "bulking and cutting" approach. Most people consume far too many calories in excess of what their body can use to build, and end up gaining fat in addition to some muscle (or worse, actually adding MORE adipocytes, which cannot be lost without surgery).

Some so called "weight gainer" supplements can have as many as 1200 calories or more (I've seen one with 252 grams of carbs per serving!). Not that a lot of calories aren't necessary for growth, your body just can't absorb that much at one time!

Be smart, get most of your calories from good, clean, healthy food sources. Have a pre- and post-workout shake, and maybe one for a snack during the day for convenience. Just know that any excess calories beyond what your body can use in a given amount of time WILL be stored as fat.

Weight gainers are an option to income some weight. in case you do not choose to purchase those you may in basic terms consume healthful nutrients yet consume greater energy than you burn on an afternoon. this would not propose you may consume a brilliant style of quickly-nutrients.

They are, but it is much cheaper to boil eggs and eat them as snacks then to take a weight gainer. At least from my experience.
