I took her to the vet today, and the vet told me to prepair for her to pass. I love my cat, and do not want to bury her, I would rather have her creamated and placed in an urn. Any advice on where I can find a nice urn. The vet has those tin-can ones, but those are not very good, they look like cookie tins.

I'm very sorry about the death of your cat.I understand that you want to keep her ashes in a nice urn. Here is a link to Drs.Foster and Smith;they have some very nice ones, and at reasonable prices.Again,my condolences on the passing of your kitty.

That's really sad to hear. I'm so sorry to hear it. I just lost my cat of 14 years this past February who I loved dearly, and I wanted the same thing. The vet showed me these ugly cans that they wanted me to put Waffles in, but I told them that I would find my own urn. I went and bought one from the funeral house. It was a little more expensive than the popcorn cans, but I felt my cat deserved something better. If you feel that your cat doesn't deserve that, I say go right ahead and and get it.

I"m sorry to hear about your cat. Hopefully you had many years of happy companionship with her.

You can probably substitute a nice jar with a lid for an urn. Check antique stores or garage sales, maybe some store like Goodwill or Salvation Army would have something like that, also.

Oh honey. I am so sorry. I know how you are feeling. My cat of 13 years died a few years ago and I miss her still. I believe that you can find an urn at a funeral home.

If there is a pet cemetery near you, the office there will sell urns. You might also go to an antique shop or home decorating store and look at ceramic ginger jars.

Sorry I can't help you regarding the urn but just wanted to say I'm so very very sorry for your loss. I can't believe mamiguapa's comment - how cruel some people can be.
Take care...

If you go here, they have some real nice urns that'll look nice in any household. I'm sorry to hear that your cat is passing away, though.

i just want to say i am really sorry.. the best thing is maybe to get the tin and make a pretty collage of pictures of u and the cat that would make it less expensive but very personal.
