I've been to two general practioners and my dermatologist and they can't figure it out. I have a cat that doesn't go outsdie, but it's been tested and doesn't have it.

The doctor looked at it under a microscope and confirmed it was ringworm. Besides, the stuff they give kills it pretty quickly. So I'm pretty confident with the diagnosis.

One theory is that somehow I'm picking it up at work.

where do you work? it's possible that you are picking it up somewhere other than your home. ringworm can also be cured with over the counter anti-fungals like tinactin that's used for athletes foot. if you keep getting it, I would have my cat checked out again just to make sure.
hope you get it cleared up soon.

I'm not convinced that your cat never goes outside. ringworm attaches itself to the cat hair. cat brings it inside your home, on your sofa, bed, carpet, table, yata yata...clean everything...just like you do with lice or scabies. get the picture. ok. have u had a test done to make sure the fungus didn't get into your blood? do that, you may need intravenous (iv) therapy to get rid of the culprit. remember, ringworm can spread, so avoid scratching those areas, and keep your medication applied as the doc told ya.

Make sure you are washing your sheets several times in hot water while going through the treatment. Maybe you are somehow reinfecting yourself.

Someone is passing it to you along the toilet seat. Maybe they are spitting in your coffee cup too.
