There has been irrevocable evidence that he does not exist so I doubt someone claiming to be God talking to me would do it. A little less than 2000 years ago a man went around saying he was the son of God and he was crucified, if it didn't work then when the world's intelligence was a fraction of what it is today, why would it work now.

It depends on which version of God you are talking about. I already believe in the unconditionally loving God. I think that the judgmental punishing version is a load of crap.

Something like that. If someone could explain it without saying "you just have to have faith" it might be more believable. That phrase, to me, is a copout. I need much more to go on and I feel that any person who is really intelligent will require more than the stories that we have been given.

Evidence. Any evidence, as there is none so far, after how many thousands of years?
Besides which, it is a well-documented fact that Christianity is a man-made put-up job. The Emperor Constantine had a lot to do with it. Do some research?

I'd be heading to the mental health unit ASAP. I'd be setting up tests to see if I need meds or if I have a brain tumour. Because If god came and spoke to me in a conversation face to face..I must be hallucinating, or mad.

Just proof of osme kind. There isnon in the bible. It's so silly you are finding fewer people with a bible than ever now. I mean read your bible. really really read it . Doesn't it sound like a fairy tale some kid would dream up or some misguided person with no education at all.

I think if it was logical to me I would believe in God.
Believing in God takes great faith and I just don't have it.
I've tried to wrap my brain around the concept and it just doesn't work for me.

Yes. Something that would be concrete proof....conversation face to face, signs similar to what happened with Gideon, etc. At this point, I just cannot believe in something intangible.....

I would need 2 forms of government ID, a posse of angels accompanying him, the devil present to verify that "Yes, he whipped me and kicked me", Jesus Christ standing there with a tether ball ready to go, and a written form from God stating that he will give me two things: What I NEED(Not want) most in the this world, and a written letter forgiving me of the horrendous things I have done in my life.
And that should about do it.

I suppose that would convince me. Although then there's the issue of how He would convince me that He was actually God. It would be a difficult argument for Him to make.
