Since God has no face, that is a very strange question...
Where there are human beings there will always be religion, there always has been and always will be. Humans need some sort of structure to their spirituality (in general, not specifics), therefore, there will always be organizations (religions) to fill tha basic human need. Religions, in and of themselves, are neither good nor bad. It is how the people who run them and the people who espouse those particular beliefs act who determine if a religion does good or evil.

Yes religion is the oldest form of government around, religion was made to keep poor people from killing the rich. If you think about all the discrepancies in the bible you will come to this conclusion too! The bible was written by man, man primarily writes fiction.
