Ask her if she wants to hang out some time and don't call it a date. Let things happen naturally. Dating is sort of lame and gives people too many expectations and sets you up for disappointments. Just do something comfortable and relaxed that reflects the laid back part of your personality. If you can't do that, well, I can't advise you since uptight men are such a turn off!
I'm engaged and have had boyfriends and interested males before my fiance, but I don't believe that I've ever actually gone on a date. We'd just hang out sometimes with friends and sometimes not. Nothing fancy.

I would recommend being straight forward and sincere. Just approach the girl you like, preferably when she is alone, and make small talk, ask how she is and so on, then be straight forward and say something like "I'd really like to get you know you better. Would you like to go out for coffee with me/ a movie with me/ rollerskating with me" (I don't know how old you are)
If she says no thank you then just say that's cool.
But from my experience, when a guy asks me out, I just really like for them to be sincere and straight forward. No lines, no showing off. If a guy is just friendly and polite its more likely that the girl will like you.
If she doesn't then its ok. At least you will know, and you can move on!
good luck

Go up to her and ask her out. Don't worry, if she says no them remember she is not good enough. Being direct always lets you know where you stand and does not take too much time.
All the best.

C'mon! it ain't hard to do, really! Just go over and ask her politely if she's interested in going out with you for a drink.movie or dinner!
P/S : Expect a rejection from her, its better to be prepared than being dissapointed. True?

Just be pretty casual with it, and feel as though your asking a FRIEND out for a night... keep in mind you're gonna want to make it specific what you had in mind, because she might forget about it or think that you're not serious.

just ask and realize this is just the beginning... like practice. Smile and say you would like to know if she wants to go to dinner with her.. girls know what that mean! What will you have to lose.... make sure to practice what you say to her.. come across smoother... oprah... actors ... even donald trumph use notes to come across smooth. Do it over the phone... so that you won't sound like your reading! good luck

I'd say you weren't ready, if you are so nervous now, how will you be on the date sweating profusely and stumbling. Wait until your more mature and sure about your self.
