a guy who plays electric guitar or acoustic guitar? why?

I would prefer a guy who could play both. A guy who could rock out on an electric, but then play a soft acoustic guitar. But if I had to pick, I would prefer the electric because it is upbeat and can just get you rockin.

Acoustic Guitar...
That whole sensation about the "bad boys" is over. The acoustic guitar is so much more romantic. It shows more of a personal side of the person playing it.

Well I prefer hard rock, punk, emo, etc. so definately electric. Guys who can play electric guitars or bass well are worth drooling for. But once in a while, acoustic sounds nice... if I guy plans to serenade a song to me (in the beach of course )

if an acoustic guitar is the one that you dont have to hook up then i'd completely fall for you. acoustic guitars have a softer tone so you could listen to it any time and you could probably get a wider variety of music out of it. I also think it would be very romantic sitting on the beach at night, around a campfire with a couple of friends and your girl.

I like all live music...but, have to admit, was serenaded once while sitting in a jacuzzi bubble bath by a guy singing and playing acoustic guitar. Doesn't get much better.

I have played guitar for 10 years...
both are sexy at different times for different reasons. any guy who can play is going to impress the ladies!
Acoustic is perfect for campfires and loves songs..
the Electric is good for rocking her socks off.

I dont even like guys but... I would prefer Acoustic because I feel its more personal... Electric is just obnoxious.

Personally, I like electric. It shows he's fun and lively, while the acoustic shows he's cute and romantic. It basically depends which the girl values more...

It all depends on if you want to dominate. If you wear the pants, take the acoustic guy. If you like to be thrown around, take the electric guy. (you are debating between two guys, no?)
