Wow, that's a broad one... before joining the Army I considered the Marines then Navy and at the last minute took up with the Army. Looking back...the Air Force has the least difficult initial training and generally the easiest transition from civilian life. They also have good jobs that correlate well into the non-mili. secter. Army and Navy would be second. I cannot speak for the Coast Guard , I don't recall what they offer. When I joined, the USMC could not give a guarenteed job training...in other words they chose your job, where the other branches guarenteed your training. If you could not fulfill that training then they rerouted your job. That may be different today.
Generally USMC has the toughest physical training. When I went through, the USAF and USN did not get much weapons training (according to peers).
If you're seeking the service primarily for job training and a somewhat easier way of it, USAF. If you want something mid-grade with the benefit of being in a larger organization, Army or Navy. If you're willing to be pushed to be part of a more elite brother(sister)hood, USMC.

Don't go in "being a girl", be a soldier/Marine/etc.

My husband was a Marine for five years, and we knew lots of people in the Navy.

He recommends the Air Force very strongly. But if you must pick from Navy, Army, and Marines, then he says your best bet is the Navy. There are more opportunities there for women: dental care, corpsman (which is like a medical assistant), all kinds of stuff.

If you're looking for a service branch where you won't be descriminated against, you need to rethink your options. Army and Navy will call you a b****, but Marine Corps will call you a whore, and you'll be treated that way everywhere you go.

For a 20 year stretch? Air Force Or USCG. They have more career paths for females And generally get treated better. Due to Combat restrictions, Few Females can earn a place in the top ranks of the Navy , Army & USMC. Combat experinces & command count for alot. There are more chances for a female to be a ship capt. or pilot in the AF or USCG than the others.

the treatment you get depends a lot on the unit you are stationed with but keep in mind that the Air Force is the only service that has 100% tuition assurance we have our own Community Collage so your job counts as credits. Good luck. Talk to all recruiters and remember Air Force has the shortest basic training

Airforce treats their people the best. My mother went to Iraq in the early stages and the list of treatment as follows. Army you got mosquito netting, marines did not even get that, Airforce got the running showers, toilets and most importantly airconditioners up and running.

Air Force definately! My best friend joined about 3 years ago and it changed her life completely. If you want to travel a lot, i would join the Army, but in the Air Force, she has been stationed in Arizona for a while now and she is starting her career in Weather Forcasting. Huge potential. =) Good luck!

I would have to say Air Force, but being the choices you gave it would depend on what you wanted to get out of it,as in job training for when you have done your time. Look at all the career opportunities they have and make your decision from there, check each branch.

Air Force has more careers for females.
But, what would you like to do as a job in the military?
