I want to get a tatto with the words IMMORTAL on my arm. I was going to put IMMORTAL then in smaller lettering put 'IN CHRIST' underneath it. However, I would like a bible reference to how we do not 'die' if we have Christ. I just would like a verse to represent our immortality. Any 'serious' suggestions?

I knew someone would say something---it is Lev. 19, 27 " 'Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.
28 " 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.
29 " 'Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness."

Do not take out certain scriptures to suit your argument. If we shouldn't get tats, then we shouldn't shave our heads or trim our beards. If you take a piece of scripture take it all. And that was the old tes and old law.

Actually, the Old Testament says not to mar or deface the skin. For this reason, traditional Jews don't get tattoos, unless some Nazi puts them on.

I don't have the exact quote, but I would venture to say it's in Leviticus or Deuteronomy.

in the bible in john 17:3, it tells us that This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ

and the bible also says that god doesn't like tatoos in in the \book of leviticus19:28- “‘And YOU must not make cuts in YOUR flesh for a deceased soul, and YOU must not put tattoo marking upon yourselves. I am Jehovah.
