yes, it has been scientificly proven that the exact opposite of black is white, the pigment in a black substance is close to 0 where as white substances have high pigmentaion levels thus proving the opposite of white and black or in this case vanilla and chocolate

Not always. Some may describe vanilla and chocolate as an oxymoron. With icecream you can have chocolate with vanilla so you can't compare that with like skinny or fat, because a person can not be skinny and fat at the same time.
