Best thing to do is to keep them distracted...
*Bring coloring books and some crayons
*LOTS of snacks (my son was so amused that we had life saver gummies and that they fit on his fingers lol he spent a good hour playing with those alone)
*remember to bring sip cups so that they can drink while taking off and landing to help remove the pressure fom their ears
*Picture books (so that they don't want to tear the magizens up =])
*And a few smaller toys that keep them occupied
I hope that helps Good luck and may your trip be minimally stressful =]

I agree with the portable dvd players or an ipod that plays movies. Put their favorite shows on there. It has been a real life saver for me with both car & plane travel. You can also take lots of crayons & coloring books along and their favorite snacks, too.
Maybe get some books from the library that are new to them and some toy airplanes they can pretend with when in flight.
Good luck!

take along books for the children they can either look at themselves or you can read to them. depending on the length of the trip, i would think they would be napping part of the time. upon take-off and landing, don't be surprised if the boys' ears hurt. this is typical for little ones. just tell them it's normal and will go away when they are flying in the air. also, bring along foods that will be easy to serve and stay fresh while travelling. Meals are no longer served on flights anymore. you might want to get baby wipes, the wet cloths available at the grocery store for babies and youngsters to clean them up. i have seen alot of people traveling by air with youngsters and babies. don't be afraid, you can do it.

Make sure you fly at a time they will be tired so they will sleep through the whole trip!! Or make sure you bring colors. Crayola colorwonder works great!!!They show up color on colorwonder paper but not on anything else. If all else fails candy hahaha!

Colouring books, and some non-noisy toys.
You might get lucky and have them sleep on the journey, but if you aren't that lucky, remember that other passengers will not like it if you have given them something to play with that makes a lot of noise.

I usally play games that dont need boards.. like eye spy and singing.. not loud. Try getting those colour bendy fluffy things and getting them to bend them into pretty things? Maybe a book that they can listen to you read with the buttons beside it where it makes a noise.

Buy the portable dvd players with headphone and take the movie "cars" along with you, they'll watch it over and over and over again in the plane!
