Everyone has a need to feel good about themselves for whatever reason. Answering and giving opinions gives that good feeling.
This is true even if the person is just yanging "your chain".

Some people have no self control, self respect, and are greedy for points, fame, or just attention.
What do you think?
I report some of them for point gaming, or for other violations. Sometimes people don't know jack about what they're responding to, and they just want to dis somebody. That's just wrong.

Maybe they thought they knew what they didn't
know therefore giving an answer hoping that the
question asked was what they thought they
knew the answer to. In other words to get the
two points which they knew for sure.
