Smoking is outlawed in many public places due to the danger to those who are not voluntarily participating in the activity (second-hand smoke).
Overeating bears no danger to anyone other than the one who is (by his or her own choice) overeating. Besides which, overeating is risky to everyone, not just those who are obese. Skinny peple get clogged arteries, too.

So how do you propose to enforce this ban?
Will people have to be publicly humiliated by being weighed when they visit supermarkets and restaurants? Are you saying people who are not obese can buy what they like, but obese may only purchase certain types of foods. I'd say that is discrimination.
With smoking, there is an outright ban. They are not just banning the smokers who smoke more than 40 cigarettes a day are they. Think about it.............................

OK so how would you legislate the caloric intake?
Who would pay for fhe food police????
Why don't we outlaw the sale of risky foods like we do drugs?
Should we also have sex police who make people use condoms?
Isn't the suspension of civil rights and first amendment freedoms under the Patriot Act enough for you? Do you want Big Brother in the kitchen and bedrioom too?
You sound like an obese neocon to me.

No. Hopefully they'll take care of their health on their own, but you can't monitor the health of strangers. Smoking is regulated because the smoke effects all the people around them. Who decides what the "risky" foods are? Any food can make you obese if you eat enough of it. Worry about your health and leave other people's alone.

This appears like a wide-spread actuality coming from her. maximum human beings comprehend weight problems is a health situation and it really is growing a risky disease. in my opinion there are not many concepts of her that i'd save on with. each person who runs for workplace, wins, then quits to jot down a e book, isn't someone i'd take ANY advice from.

Smoking is a health hazard but obese people aren't and it is on anyone's freedom of choice to decide if they want to be fat or stay skinny because not anyone is a supermodel in a magnazine and it's not anyone else right to decide how a person looks it's up to them to decide, noone else's because that is why they call it freedom of choice.
