Just break the "head" gently w/ a needle to allow easier popping.

All of those popping answers are WRONG! They should NOT be popped or squeezed.

A warm wet washcloth will make them come to a head sooner though. The right ones that tell you to use products to dry them up are best. Then you won't spread infection and leave scars.

The more you pick at them the more you will have. My favorite is the mask (Mary Kay for men) after cleansing. Dab that on at bedtime and in just a few days they will dry up.

You shouldn't pop them, because then they will leave lasting problems and probably come back again. As embarassed as somebody may feel by having a bad acne day, it's important to not touch your (or, in this case, his) pimples. I suggest just making him keep his hands off his face during the day and using some sort of topical acne wash.

Don't! I know it hard not to, but you are scaring your face as well as possible infection. The best thing to do is spot some benzoyl-peroxide or salicylic acid on the pimple and the pimple won't be bad for too long and will leave within a week.

every time you pop a pimple, you are breaking down the pore walls and spreading bacteria to other pores.. Causing more pimples. It is really not a good idea. it will seriously turn into a bigger mess.
Use a topical ointment with salicylic acid to get rid of it. Lemon juice and honey work well too. Lemon is acidic and the honey gets rid of bacteria.

Light a match and then blow it out. Use the head (once cold) on the site. Coat the area with the charcoal then use your fingers to do the job. The charcoal stops infection and makes the area heal within a few hours rather than days. Another method is strawberry jam rubbed into the area does the same thing.

uh ...the dermatologist recommends NOT popping them. Popping increases the scarring. Be sure however if you are going to anyway to thoroughly wash your hands first and make sure your son knows to wash his. I would get him some Proactive, the stuff is great. You could try putting ice on it first ... always follow with antibiotic cream ... staph infections can be very nasty !!

Try putting a warm washcloth on your face for a couple of minutes to soften them up before you try to pop them.
