Gout is caused by deposition of uric acid crystalls in the joints. The crystals cause pain. Uric acid is a purine compound. Which is a double cycle heterocycle. Which is a mouthful for a compound that has a six member carbon ring compound attached to a five membered carbon cyclic compound. The bicyclic compound has four nitrogen atoms in its structure taking the place of carbon atoms. This is important. The nitrogen atoms come form protein molecules and the compound is synthesized from urea. ( a constituent of urine, and a breakdown product of protein digestion). Indeed urea is the compound that the body uses to get rid of excess nitrogen from the body. Too much blood nitrogen and its compounds are poisonous. Therefor the liver and kidneys filter and chemically convert excess protein to urea and excrete the urea/nitrogen from our bodies as urea in our urine. Gout sufferers have too much uric acid which is made from urea. Urea comes from the breakdown of proteins. That is why gout sufferers are put on low protein diets. In order to keep the body nitrogen levels low.
Potassium gluconate has no nitrogen in its chemical structure. Gluconate is another name for gluconic acid., which is a cousin of glucose sugar. And is made from glucose. Neither chemical has any nitrogen atoms. (and could not be the "feedstock of uric acid, urea, or any of the proteins and their byproducts.Glucose is a sugar which is in the carbohydrate family of chemicals.
Therefor I do not see potassium gluconate having an effect on gout and uric acid production.

First off, don't even think of taking pills you know nothing about. Some pills work only for certian body chemistry and will be decremental to your weight loss goal. At your age you shouldn't be taking any diet pills until your hormones have balanced out, there really isn't a point. You need to do hard exercise, lots of cardio( running, stairs, walking, hiking), start off by walking or speed walking for 30mins, and then start either jogging or running for another 30 mins, you do the first 30 mins to get your heart rate up so you can start burning calories and fat more efficiently for he next 30 mins or more. Also eating spicy food, lemons, ginger, cinnamon, will speed up your metabolism. During puberty it is better to take a natural approach to weight loss, and when your hormones settle down, then taking diet pills will be more effective.
