tell you the truth i think the earth and the galaxies are still too in tune with one another. Studies are shown how the sun is slowly moving from the earth, the salt that deposits in the sea, even our ozone layer. Millions or billions of years is a long time and if these things were happening then it would be evident earth wouldn't have us on it.

Actually, that would be about 11,000 years old. Remember, one day for God is 1000 years for man. As of 1974, it has been 6000 years since the creation of man.

As for the age of Earth, what empirical data do you have to show that it is any older. Radiographic dating is still based on theory and not based on any actual evidence using an independent source.

Something along the lines of this: the Bible is 100% (95% at the minimum) literal and factual in all matters, science included. All forms of modern science are wrong when it contradicts the Bible. Consider one of the statements of young-Earth creationist organization Answers in Genesis: No apparent, perceived or claimed evidence in any field, including history and chronology, can be valid if it contradicts the Scriptural record. Some Christians have totally blinded themselves from seeing the truth of modern science. I am a Christian, and I believe in essentiall all of what science has discovered.

*Edit*
lol at the person who gave a link to Kent Hovind's website. He's the biggest joke of a human being, Christian, and scientist I've ever seen. I'll always remember his moronic claim I saw in a seminar of his: "Evolution is a religion. That's right, a religion". I found it highly ironic that he has a video seminar called "Lies in the Textbooks". He claims that he "just wants the lies out of the textbooks". He then turns around and makes countless lies to 'prove' creationism.

The world from Adam to now is 6,072 years old, the earth existed and was being prepared for Adam for thousands of years, all existed before earth became a focus for habitation, so this is why and how billions of years are involved.
Gen.1:1,2 All exist.
Gen.1:2-26 Earth is prepared for man for thousands of years and man is here.
Gen.2:2,4 [ all seven days will be one day Heb.4:1-12 Man is in day seven ];
Rev.20:1-6,12,13 this 1000 year day, when it ends, is 7000 years of Day seven and ends a 49,000 years period as earth a focus for perfection [ lost in Eden ]; Jesus make it all as perfect as it was meant to be for the offsprings of Adam.

There are many who recognize the existence of the old earth. The earth we live in now is not the earth of the past as mentioned in Genesis. The Old testament prophets also write of the old earth and its order which involved Lucifer and his fall.

Because that is not what the Bible says. If science goes against the Bible, it is false. read 1 Tim 6:20 and what it says about science, KNOWLEDGE.
The earth is not millions of years old. Read the Bible and you will clearly see.
God made it all and only He Knows.....
no scientist is to be believed over God.
