I have hair down to my butt and I trim it all the time, you know and I was wondering should I cut it? If I do, I don't want to do locks of love, there are enough people doing that, I just want to make my hair into a belt if I did. But i'm SO scared to! I've had my hair for SOOO long, it's a big part of me! I'm afraid I will cry if I do! If you were here, would you hold my hand? I hope that you would! :-\

i was in the same situation. My hair was really long, and was like that for a while. But I decided to take a chance, it was time for change. I cut it short-shoulder-length. Everyone likes it so much better. And they loved my long hair. I suggest you do it. And remember, if you don't like it...hair grows! You have nothing to worry about.

i know. i am in the same boat as you. i have hair that is long but not as long as yours but i am thinking a lot about it. i wish that i had the guts to do it but i think about it all the time and wonder if i do cut my hair short. if i ever did i would donate it to locks of love because there are tons of people out there that have cancer and i would be blessed to have someone's hair if i had cancer. i think that it would make a big difference in someones life and they would be more comfortable with their hair then without. you should cut it because it will feel so good to do that and you will feel like you have helped someone out in the biggest way. if i were you i would cut it but it is always your call. if you do, do the right thing and cut it for locks of love. you are making someones day and i think that is the best gift in the world is to make someone happy.
peace and love ♥

Well, I think that because 'there are enough people doing that' isn't a good reason not to donate to Locks Of Love, but anyway . . .

It depends on if you want it cut off. A lot of people feel like they're missing a part of themselves when they cut off their hair, and others feel like other parts of themselves get a chance to shine.

Do what you want.

P.S. a belt made out of HAIR?!?!? What the ****?

No way girl. Mine is past my butt, I about cried when I cut off 4 inches last year. IF you decide to you really should do Locks for Love, there are not enough people doing it, there are many children and adults out there who need it and will continue to need it, someone would definitely appreciate it. If I were there I would hold your hand, because I know whenever I decide to do it I'll be squeezing the hell out of someone elses' hand.

Do what makes you happy. If you dont want to cut it then don't. If you do, then I would do Locks for Love. There is always a need for that. More good would come out of that then some belt.

Cut it....it will liberate you, plus it will grow back. And why the hell would you want a belt made out of hair? YUK
Donate it to Locks of Love....there are way more people who need hair out there....You will feel so good about it after you do it!

I think it would be really nice if you were to chop it off and donate it to locks of love a lot of people under estimate it you'd be surprised how many people don't do it. But do it if you want to I know you must be tired of sitting on the toilet and almost peeing on your hair, or putting on jeans and getting them tucked into the back. You'll miss it when it's gone but who knows you might like the way you look without it you'll never know unless you try... and besides it's hair it'll tak a while but it will most likely grow back.

It all depends on what you think is right. Go for it if you want to and people always feel good when they donate to Locks of Love. How would you know there are or there are not enough people doing it? It's always good to lend a helping hand and there aren't enough people to understand!

Locks of Love already has 10,000 ponytails sitting in a warehouse in Florida. And, they also sell a lot of the hair they receive. They do not need your hair. You should cut your hair, and sell it at: http://hairbuyer.com
