We've had nothing but problems with our Fords. Toyotas have better resale and are a more quality car. Have you looked at the Honda Pilot or Nissan Pathfinder?

Ford Explorer, why? because it's bigger, and its a trusted brand. Check out the Chevy Tahoe, its also a really good vehicle.

Explorers are prone to roll over. In fact so much that companies like U-Haul will not rent trailers to anyone that actually owns a Ford Explorer citing that they have roll over issues. I guess U-Haul doesn't want to have any of their trailers wrecked.

4-Runner will last and last. The Explorer will roll over and die, literally.
4-Runner isn't that expensive, I've seen ads for $21K for brand new ones.

Both are reliable, long lasting. 4-runner new lot more money though. Both not to good on gas ,thats exspected.

i've heard good things about both of them, but i would buy the 4runner. toyota has such a good reputation and their cars & trucks just last and last.
