OKay folks, here's the deal. I am an adult...and I just found out from another family family member that I have an older half-brother that lives in Florida. The only reason this family member told me is because (and this is the kicker folks) BOTH MY SISTERS ALREADY KNOW, AND HAVE KNOWN FOR QUITE SOME TIME. So I'm pretty well pissed at some people. Namely my father and my two sisters. I'm psyched that I have a half-bro, but I'm royally pissed @ members of my family...so how would you feel, and would you try to find your sibling?

What were they thinking? You have a brother. How cool is that? What to do from here? I would ask your sisters why they didn't tell you. Don't be too quick to be pissed yet. There may be a reason. I can't think of any but give them a chance. Have they been good sisters in the past or have they always left you out? Take your time and get your ducks in a row. It would be great to find out he is a real nice guy that anyone would love to have as a brother. You don't have to hurry or rush to judgment. I sure hope things work out. Good Luck.

Yeah I would be pissed if I just found out I had a half-sibling. Go find your siblings! That's what I'm going to do. My parents already told my sister and me a long time ago that I had half-brothers & half-sisters [I think it was 5 or 6 siblings- i don't remember]. (What's funny is that my oldest half-brother is a decade apart from my mom) My goal is to try to find them and meet them. I have already met one (only b/c she was adopted by my aunt who happens to live in USA), but we don't consider her as a sister... more like an aunt.

I found out I had a half-sister. I was shocked. But I was willing to meet her and she turned out to be all right. I'd try to get more info about your long-lost brother and try to meet him. Good luck to you!

I am an adult also, and I'd be delighted, I always wanted a brother.
