As a parent I would say No and Yes.
I would say also that when you have the prodigal son type "children" then you can see there are differences due to the choices they are making in their lives. A "child" that is always doing "good" IS different than the sibling "child" that always does "wrong". Both are loved, but treated different to match THEIR choices.
Does GOD have favorites - I DO NOT KNOW.
Humans do.

Well, if God doesn't have favorites, then I'd like to know why HE sent HIS only SON, and created MAN first, while WOMAN is responsible for the downfall of the species and must be cursed with menstruation and painful childbirth as a punishment for her sin, while man....has to work the land? If I recall correctly, that was Adam's "punishment", and since in the modern world women work just as hard as men do, often to have the same level of comfort that the previous generation did, I fail to see how that is actually a punishment.
Blessed be!

No, I do not think that God has one child or children over another as It is written in more than one language that all people are his children and that does not discriminate from one religion to the next , we are all his children

No and as Acts 10:34 says He is no respector of persons and He showed us that by giving the best that He has His Son Jesus Christ for our sins. I feel sorry for all the ones who wrote in and are taking light the things of God and even God for He is the source of everything you're ever going to need in this life.

NO! We are All God's children and he loves us equally. He may not like the some of the choices we make or the paths we take or some of the thing we do, but he loves us all equally.

For me to answer this question you would have to know much about the bible and about God or you would be very offended with my answer. He loves every person the same, but as we grow up and use our free will some of us decide to separate ourselves from God and at the same time some of us will use that same free will to draw close to God. Now I place the question back to you-who should he favor, the one that does not serve his creator, or the one that does?......KECK

No. Once I had both my children I came to understand parental love much better. I am no longer Christian, for instance. I find it ludicrous to believe I would expect one of my children intercede for the other in speaking to me, asking me favors or simply to approach me. However, God loves us each differently. We are all not the same people. We have different talents, skills, loves, hates; we make different decisions under the same set of circumstances. Therefore, our needs are different. Love doesn't come in one flavor. To meet the needs of my children I have to express my feelings for them in accordance to how they best receive it. God loves us all, equally, but each according to what we need.

Galatians 2:6b God shows no partiality.
and Acts 10:34
James 2:1 "My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism."
Read the rest of James 2 to see how we are not to play favorites, just like God does not play favorites.

No.
Romans 2:11 For God does not show favoritism
Ephesians 6:9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both thier master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

God, or whoever people choose to worship, does not have favorites. No one child is favored over another, no group of people is chosen over another. Questions like this cause war and have for thousands of years. Tragedies happen, inexplicably, to people and/or groups of people, and it is easy to assign blame or question faith rather than to trust in God.
