Well in adulthood, its nothing new, but as a student still in school, i would say it is alittle awkward. But if you really want to, then thats ok, but you only have 11th and 12th grade then your off alone in college, and the 8th grader will still be in school waiting to get out of it and graduate. But it really is your decision to, you can date whoever you want, whatever age it may be. Though i would suggest that if you date the 8th grader to keep it on the down low, because people may tease you about dating someone who is probably still in middle school and you in high school, like a teen dating a Pre-teen.

No! And I am sure her parents would say the same thing. Just be friends and maybe in a few years when you are both older and have the same feelings, give it a go. Your main focus should be on school son. Good luck to you and your future!

My boyfriend and that i've got been given at the same time whilst he became twelve and that i became 13. Lol we've been at the same time for 5 years now, its no longer a extensive age hollow so it is going to likely be nice. Dont hassle with reference to the grade distinction plenty, its age thats significant.

Going out is fine if her parents agree. However, neither one is old enough for sex. It's a really emotional experience for most people and ADULTS have a hard enough time dealing with the ramifications. Just take it slow and be friends.
Good Luck!

I think in 8th grade you are still very young and not quite matured so you wudn't be ready emotionally. Maybe you should stay friends and wait till you r a little older.

honey, please please PLEASE look among the (what I'm sure is a large number of) people closer to your age in high school before you start raiding the middle school next door. when you get older, it'll be okay to date people 3 or 4 years younger than you. but at your very young age, think of the really large gap in maturity (both physical and mental) that exists between you and that 8th grader!!!

No. It may not seem like a huge age gap (and it isnt by much), but to your peers and family it will be. Wait until shes a bit older.
