It is important you go back to the basics. I would find a crate just big enough to fit your pup in, make sure it isn't too big. I would crate her at night and make sure to take her out at least 30 min after she eats, drinks or plays. Take her out consistently every two hours. Consistency is what will make a difference here and even when it is cold out and rainy you have to go out with her. When she does something make sure you praise her for it!

First, there is no such breed as a shi-poo. You have a Shih-Tzu/poodle mixed breed. Did you research the breeds before you got her? Didn't the breeder tell you about this kind of behaviour? It's fairly common knowledge in the dog world that toy breeds tend to have potty problems, especially during winter. If it was a major concern, then another mix of breeds should have been considered.
The potty training question is asked on here numerous times a day and each question gets numerous answers. You may want to use the search box near the top of the page to find additional help on this subject. Also, if you bought from an ethical and responsible breeder, call or e-mail them. They are responsible for your dog for the rest of its life and are great resources for this type of information.
And remember, NEVER punish your toy breed dog. This means no yelling, slapping, screaming, shouting, hitting, tapping, smacking, swatting, or other violent behaviour. The most that you can do is say "NO" firmly if she's caught in the act. The other things will make your dog fear *you*, not the action.
Good luck in this.
PS - one should NEVER resort to "spanking" or rubbing their nose in it and yelling at them. These are archaic techniques that are basically abuse. Shame on those answerers who suggested it.

She will house train - all dogs will - but her humans need to reward her for going potty in all kinds of weather. At least you know when she's going to have trouble and you can be extra-vigilant at these times. Remember - dogs do what is reinforcing, and if she's had practice a few times going inside, she'll keep doing it unless you step in and interrupt the unwanted behavior, and reward her a LOT with her most favorite things when she goes outside in the rain. Get a good rainjacket and have patience, be sure to not let her repeat her mistakes indoors or it'll be that much harder for you to fix the problem!
Good luck, and ***please don't follow the neanderthal advice of rubbing your dog's nose in their mistake.*** This is a spectacularly ineffective way of teaching your dog, and instead convinces her that you are crazy.

Either keep her in a crate, or keep her on a leash when she's in the house with you so that you can keep tabs on her until she gets the message. I have 2 chihuahuas who HATE to go outside once the weather turns wet and/or cold. I have to carry them outside and make them stay out until they go. Once she does go outside, praise her! Your other alternative is to also walk her 3 to 4 times per day. Smaller dogs need to go out more often in my experience than bigger dogs. Good luck!

You need to get back to basics. Try crate training her. And don't leave it up to her to go outside via the doggie door put a leash on her and walk her on a regular schedule. She obviously is not going to use the doggie door when she has to go if it is too cold to her liking.

I have three pugs. They did the same thing. You have to crate your dog for a bit to get the idea of going outside is the only place to go. Crate your dog, when it's time to go outside then take them out. Give praise, pet them and give them a treat when they do their business. After a few weeks of this the thought will be engrained in them that they go outside and get rewarded for doing so. If he/she does go again in the house after the two weeks of training then crate again and scold mildly when it occurs.

Good luck. Little dogs are usually like this during cold weather. Might want to get those wee wee pads or litter train.

We had a dog in the house. What my mom did was, when the dog had a accident in the floor. She put the dogs nose in it and told her no with a mean voice. Then she put the dog outside. But you have to watch the dog. If it looks like it's looking for a place to go. Then get it and take it outside. If it squats in the house yell at it and take it outside. It just takes time and many dirty spots on your floor.

Put her outside every few hours and praise her when she goes potty. If she does it inside, immediately tell her no and put her outside. It shouldn't take her long to pick up on it.
