Blaise Pascal (1623-62), a French mathematician and physicist said, "If there is a God and I BELIEVE in Him I have gained everything. If there is a God and I DO NOT BELIEVE in Him I have lost everything. If there is not a God and I BELIEVE in Him I have lost nothing."

Although false Christianity often has interpreted God's laws in a way that often harms man, I believe they really are intended to protect and bless man, and will do so if applied rightly.

(John 10:10) "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

(1 Tim 4:8) "For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come."

He was a wise man. I am not Christian. I am a theist. I am a recovered Catholic. I now believe with my own mind having done the work and lived the pain that comes with experiencing God. I find it interesting how the so called "Christians" speak from one side of their mouths when "witnessing" to others, but it's a whole different story when they are caught in a somewhat less than Christian act, when they lose, and many times when facing death. There should be no fear of death if you truly believe, though there should be no hurry for its experience. Both life and death are gifts. I truly do not believe death is the end as it follows no logic I can find, however, I have lost nothing in my belief in the Almighty, and have gained much more in my growth as a person because of it.

The problem with Pascal's Wager, as it is known, is that it doesn't work.
How do you know that you are believing in the correct god. You cannot hedge your bets by believing in all the different gods "just in case."
Pascal's Wager was debunked years ago. Didn't you hear?

Pascals wager is a joke.

first off who is to say that G-d would be happy if you just worshiped him for a prize? seams kind of low.

also what about Islam? If your Christian you go to hell in Islam, but if your a Muslim you go to hell in Christianity.

either way your screwed. That is why Pascal's wager dose not work

If I believe in God for fear that I might be wrong in not believing in Him, then I am believing in Him for all the wrong reasons.

Pascal's wager is older than dirt. That's about what it's worth, too.
