I used to be Catholic, but I am not right now. I want to return to the Church. My problem is that when I entered the Confirmation process I had a strong, albeit uneducated faith, but during the process I lost faith and was too scared to duck out. So I got confirmed even though I thought God and the Church and all the rest was bunk. I was an atheist at the time. Now I believe in God very strongly but I know that I cannot be re-Confirmed. I profaned the Sacrament... what should I do?

Jesus healed the possessed young man of the Bible without his consent or submission. The Holy Spirit entered the young man who was healed.

Confirmation works the same way.

Go to confession and admit your error and repent. God loves you.

Just go to confession and confess this. Weather you realized it or not the indelible mark of Confirmation is still on your soul. There is no need for anything else. Just go to confession and get back to the Blessed Sacrament. Go to www.savior.org and tell him in Adoration you will see him soon. You are going to cause a PARTY in Heaven.
