I would assess the whole situation, for instance if it was a child, i would make sure the child is not hungry nor unhealthy, maybe make sure they could have a education fund for example ect. Or if it was a elderly person making sure the rest of their days were the very best they could be, but if i could do one thing in this lifetime it would be to remove the hate in this world.

My sister in law is now a single parent of two children. She is working on a job where she has been 17 years and still only making $10 per hr. After living with us for about a year she recently moved out on her own again trying to start over. Her car was repossessed about three weeks ago. If I could change her life, here's what I would like to do:

a) Invest the money to open a salon and hire her to work there. I'm not sure if she can handle managing her own shop at this time.

b) She is a very good stylist so I would utilize this opportunity to teach her managerial skills so that I can increase her pay and promote her to a managerial position.

c) I would buy her a reliable car. Since I'm not rich it would have to be a cash deal because I do not want her to be concerned about a monthly car note.

d) I have already assisted her with enrolling in school working towards a bachelor's degree in business, so I would just continue to encourage her and assist her in this endeavor.

Dearest Oprah.
To even be asked this question is exciting. There is one person in my life that I would love to give the world to, and that's my older brother. This man is a Godly man. He has a beautiful wife inside and out. They have 4 amazing kids who show great respect for adults, their parents and each other. My brother and I struggled through a horrible childhood with neither one of us getting very far in school and we all know how important an education is. However God has taken very good care of our hearts and minds and has blessed us with wonderful spouces. My brother has been married for 16 years. They have been good but hard at times. He and his wife chosen the same path that my husband and I did, and that's for us wifes to stay at home and raise our children. That left each family with only 1 income each. So thing have always been tight. My brother has always worked, and he's a VERY hard worker. However they have never been able to buy a computer for the kids. The oldest one is a freshman in high school and could really use one. In this day and time there is so much information the kids have to look up in order to get the school work done. Oprah I have always wanted to be able to get my brother and his kids a computer. I do realize that my dream, perhaps desire is pathetic or even stupid to some people, but I give you my word, if you knew my brother and loved him with all your heart as I do, you too would want to give him the world. I thank you soooo much for being given this oppurtinity to tell you about my brother. I only hope that some day you will get to meet him and see for yourself how awesome he is. THANK YOU

Of course there are soooo many, where would we start?? I would give the money to the Elks here in my town where the money would be used to send a disabled child to Camp Moore here in NJ. The camp is completely free to the child and their families because the Elks pays for it all by the donations they receive throughout the year. Most of these children would never be away from home for any kind of vacation if not for Camp Moore. It is also the only way these wonderful mothers can get any kind of break at all. When you visit the camp, you are so humbled by the simple things that make these children happy. Also, all the staff are volunteers. Isn't that amazing????

I would change a person's life by showing them the power of love. We all are different. We look different and we act different. We have different lifestyles and different cultures. But, when you look at the whole picture, we are all human. If we could just learn to embrace the differences then, we could learn to love one another. The power of love can move mountains.

First, I would spend time interviewing the person and their closest friends (and family if applicable) to learn what their passions and dreams are in life. Second, I would research possibilities that are commensurate with their dreams, passions and natural abilities and also to research other people more capable of matching their dreams & passions with such possibilities. Third, I would spend the $1000 toward the person receiving the proper training, direction, interviews, etc., toward achieving their dreams.

I saw a lady named Chris at a church fair and she was selling tickets for $1.00 a piece and I asked her what the money was for. She told me that her husband Paul had lost his leg due to a rare desease and that she was trying to raise the $14,000 needed for a new artificial leg so he would be able to walk again on his own.
I donated all the money I had in my pocket that day to her and told her that I would try and find ways to help her get more money to accomplish her goal and get her husband the artificial leg he needed.
I answered the $1000 question for Oprah and if she is reading this or hears about it, any thing that she could do to help these poor folks out would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking for no recognition at all in any way for any effort I put into this and if Oprah or anyone out there can see it in their hearts to help these folks out, please get in touch with them at this address.

This lady was so happy that I even told her that I would try and help her out that she cried very hard and she loves her husband very much.
