Ask your teacher to teach you how to do a stage kiss. You actually kiss on the cheek, not on the lips, but from the audience it looks like a real kiss.

Valkyreprincess - As an actor, it's important to remember that It's not about YOU...it's about your Character. If you are serious about the craft of acting - step up to the challenge and step out of your comfort zone because that's what acting is all about. You will always be stepping out of your comfort zone even though it's not always easy to do. Ask for help if you need it, and after all is said and done, if you are still confused about a stage kiss within a skit, you may want re-think about learning acting and perhaps just work on scenery, lighting, sound or props. In any case, I wish you the best.

No, don't ask to change it. As an actor, you will probably be faced with the challenge of kissing on stage frequently.
Just remember, that you're acting. Get into your character and kiss how your character would kiss. You're not kissing as you, but the character. That works for me. Hope it does for you too. Break a leg!

It's acting. No one will think anything of it. Your teacher will just get annoyed if you ask to cut the kiss, and will probably tell the directors in your area that you are uncomfortable with such things. It will be difficult to get cast. Just power through it. It doesn't mean anything--it is a stage kiss after all.

For a stage kiss, you kiss the upper lip and he kisses lower lip, or vice versa.

don't change it! it may be really awkward, but its something that you have to do. It could be much worse...trust me. But talk to him and see how he feels about it and put your thoughts out on how its just a peck, bascially, and you guys aren't making out so it doesn't matter. I know it's awkward, but it could be worse. Stick with it because it will make you a better actress.
